Popular Universe is a cozy comfort card store where you will be kindly greeted by the wonderful staff while welcomed to play, hang, trade and more. There is a good selection of magic the gathering and pokemon singles/sealed product as well as other card games and even plush toys! I have attended pokemon standard play and pre-release here with great turnout and casual friendly players. The prices at this store are not greedy, which is harder and harder to come by, and all of these traits keep me coming back! I greatly recommend stopping by and sharing your nerdy hobbies at this up and coming community store.
Power word games is the type of small business that you hope to see more of, owner and patrons are all great people and willing to help you learn and play the games they specialize in. The store primarily focus on trading card games, yugioh being the largest, followed by One Piece, digimon and some pokemon, they also have sealed products of Magic, D&D, Digimon, one piece, pokemon and yugioh. The store host specific tcg events for yugioh, Digimon and One piece along with D&D, and Magic. These tend to be posted on the stores calendar but are subject to change so check their Twitter and Instagram. Speaking of change, their hours currently fluctuate so do check Twitter and Instagram, generally they are open Monday to Friday from 4pm to 9pm. If you ever thought of trying out any of the games and boardgames they support be sure to come visit as the players here usually will sit down and play some learning games for you to get the hang of the games. Store owner also has an online store front so if you can't make it in person you can always buy online.
The owner is the reason to come here. He made us feel extremely welcome as it was our first time here. He was extremely patient and allowed my wife and I to look at many singles. Good selection of singles and many different booster bundles. If you’re in the area I highly recommend you stop by and hangout with him for a little!
