my new favorite shop in leadville! the owner was so nice and has an incredible collection of historical artifacts, as well as an excellent selection of books! you can easily spend an hour in there looking at all the cool museum quality displays and browsing all the books. i bought a john muir book i had been eyeing for a few years now—support this business! (they also have stickers/pins/etc).
Unbound has by far become the best local card shop here in Colorado Springs (and even Denver in my opinion). They are always making moves to get sealed product in and always have a great selection available at all times between both vintage and modern. They also have several glass cases with a huge variety of single cards, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for in the cases they have several binders with even more of a selection! They are very honest with pricing and always seem to be a little bit below market price which is amazing nowadays. None of the other card shops near them even come close to their selection or pricing. Every employee I’ve dealt with there has always been amazing with customer service- especially James. He’s always super nice, helpful and looks everywhere to find whatever card(s) you’re there looking for. The owner has also been awesome anytime I’ve interacted with him! 100/10 recommend Unbound over anywhere else in town!
Valkyrie's Loft Toys and Games is literally THE BEST GAME STORE EVER!! The magnificent guy who helped me was named Jeff. Jeff was polite, courteous, respectful, helpful, and overall AMAZING!!! I felt so welcomed here, and the store was clean and organized very professionally and good. I had no issues navigating my way around the incredible store. The prices were fine, I didn't think anything was overpriced. Honestly, I think the prices of the stuff for sale in this unique store were a bargain. Here are some awesome things this store does on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: They have Paint 🎨 Nights on Mondays at 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Game Nights on Wednesdays at around 5:30 PM, and Magic Nights on Fridays at around 6:30 PM to around 10:30 PM. They have a lot of Harry Potter-related items and Vinyl Mini Series of Unstable Unicorns. They had Willy Wonka stuff. They had Star Wars Stuff. This store has so much stuff, that I am positive that there is something for everyone. You can also bring your own games or play their games in this store!! I will definitely be coming back to this beautifully wonderful store, and I would recommend you pay this store a visit, because it is 100% worth your time, energy, effort, and money.
