Being "new" to gaming, Retro has been our supplier and advisors since our original X Box died. We had been purchasing games for the X Box at the old location near Federal plaza here in Carson andsplurged on an X Box 360 for Christmas prepandemic. So when the new-to-us 360 died, we were able to replace it at an extremely reasonable price. Thank you to Erin for her wonderful help...in a way, nothings changed...still great service, wonderful prices and most of all, patience and understanding when dealing with us 'newbies'.
There’s a reason the store holds a perfect score of five stars. This store is one of the most welcome in places for TCG table top board games board games. This place is awesome. The staff is very friendly very welcoming. You can walk in the store and not have a single clue just an idea of what you want to play and the staff will go out of their way to talk to you. Educate you on what it is. They’re always letting you know that they have different game nights for different games even with the board games if you don’t want to purchase it, you can rent it there for a couple hours for a few bucks. This place is by far one of the most comfortable places to go game deck bill because you’re always welcome. You can escape all the trolls in aggressive nature that comes along with the TCG world. You have a great choice of singles for certain games they for the most part are well stocked for all your needs. I could not recommend A better place for a good time, casually non-aggressive. I love the guys and girls at this location.

although many are raving about this place we had a different experience. the older woman was very off putting to us saying that the owner didn’t have time to value our baseball cards we were looking to sell. after showing a handful of graded cards only wanted them for $140 one of which was an aaron judge rookie card that is actually valued much higher. we ended up going to a different card shop called Game Day Sports and we got offered a much better and higher price for the same exact cards. On another note we didn’t feel the “friendly and welcoming” vibe everyone is saying they offer. we did not feel very welcomed and felt as if our stuff is worth their time. I will say though their selection of singles for baseball was pretty but overall the shop itself is mid at best. won’t be back.

Cute toy/game shop in North Lake! My husband and I wanted to pick out a few fun games to play at our cabin and got “Tenzi” and a Tahoe deck of cards. The lady who helped us was friendly and we are happy with our purchase.
