Dragon's Den is the local gaming & collectible store for Boone, NC.

As always, I love my local friendly game stores, and more so when they treat people right and with respect. They are always happy to help with questions on products. Plenty of table space for both card games and table top gaming. The product selection is great, with many accessories avaliable to go with many of the hobbies supported. The paint brand selection deserves special mention here, as they carry so many brands for modeling, including Vallejo, Two thin coats, Citadel, Army painter, and even marker paints. If in the area, pop in and say hello! These folks are inclusive and friendly!

If your looking for comics, one piece, mtg or other TCGs this shop is perfect for you! 38mins away from base which is not bad for a drive. The owner / staffs are really friendly and knowledgeable with all the items theyre selling. They also have areas of you want to play any board game or card games.

Update 2-4-2025 for the 12-23-24 Visit. This place is always home for me in trading cards, it’s a nice calm place and nice to visit every now and then. Update 11-23-2024. This place is still a nice little shop. It has good prices and lots of product to choose from like baseball, football, hockey, basketball, gaming , miscellaneous and remaining nascar product. The older gentleman is a very kind man and helpful if you need questions for products you are looking for or other questions. This Is Honestly a Really Good Place to get your Trading Cards at and I enjoy the people that work there and they have good deals.

Edit: I misunderstood that the store was open for casual play and trade while the owner was giving me a tour of the store. That's on me. I'm leaving the review below unedited, so the owner's reply makes contextual sense. Apparently, the store does allow casual gatherings. End edit I can't speak on the sports side of this store as I've only had dealings with Magic: The Gathering. While this store does have magic events, it's not a hangout kind of store where you can bring your collection and play and trade when there isn't an event going on. That said, it is a fantastic place to purchase sealed MTG products, especially new releases. The staff are very friendly, though the owner is a bit intense and business over else (bear in mind my interaction with him is relatively limited and my own opinion). That said, you can absolutely trust he's running the store to not price things above MSRP and tries to give everyone an equal chance to pick up new releases. The website and store also sync up with inventory, which is nice to see the availability of both locations without calling or going in.
