Just found out about this awesome little gem of a shop. It’s definitely stocked with more rpg than regular board games, but if that’s not your thing, the selection is still great with a wide range of different games. The service was excellent. I’ve been in search of a good two player game for my upcoming anniversary. While my partner has no limit to the amount of complexity and strategy that can be involved with a board game, I’m fairly inexperienced.. but willing to try something new. The staff pointed me in the direction of a few of their favorite two player games at various price points and difficulty levels. I ended up splurging on a very cool cooperative board game, and I’m so excited to try it! Old Guard Games has a welcoming environment in a beautifully restored building with down to earth staff. AND, while my partner and I don’t have any experience with rpg, this feels like a great place for us to come try some out and not be overwhelmed, haha. I will definitely be back!
