'Bat City Games and Comics' is a bright and shining Star in the universe of gaming shops I've visited. There is a vast selection of comic books, games and collectibles in this well organized shop. Being a gamer at heart, my greatest interests is in the games. In this regard the store contains a wide variety of games along with complete series of certain games. For example, the Axis and Allies series of games is well represented. If you like space games, fantasy games, role-playing games, card game, short games, or long games you will find something to meet your need. The shop sports over 10 gaming tables for different size groups. For customers to play their own games or check out new ones they just bought. With a collection of demo games for people to try before they buy. This is a definite bonus. Magic tournaments, gaming camps for kids, friendly knowledgeable, and helpful staff all add up to make it an easy decision to check out 'Bat City Games and Comics Below are two games that I recently tried from the store.
I’ve been coming here for over a year now and it’s been by far one of the top card shops in Austin for me. I want to clear up some of the negative feedback that’s been reviewed here… look these guys deal with a lot of people, some nice and some not so nice. Respect is earned not given. Each interaction I’ve had with Aaron and the staff here has been progressively better the more we got to know each other. I’ve left hundreds of dollars worth of cards to be valued with ZERO issues. Always get fair market value valuations and then offered 60%-70% because they are a business not a charity and need to make their money too. Super fair trading process as well. They always have the new and hot products stocked, they have an awesome texting feature you can sign up for that notifies you of restocks and release dates. My family and I are always greeted with a smile and personable customer service. Now that they’ve moved to the new shop, the space is welcoming, clean, and has tons of room! Highly recommend you come check them out for all your trading card needs! They even help facilitate grading your cards to PSA!
Perfect location to get your nerd on. It's like a museum where all the cool stuff is for sale, well most stuff. They have a couple of sweet cats on bird watch duty that are clearly not for sale. Plenty of gaming tables for rpg and card games. Plus lots of comics and memorabilia.

This is an EPIC board game, table game and card game store! It can be a bit overwhelming but I do like the various sections like games for one, games for two, new games etc. We spent about an hour browsing and purchased Root as well as Arkham Horror. Prices were in line with online retail and we like supporting brick and mortar. We will make it a must-stop while in Austin.
Man, this is a bummer to write as I have been looking forward to visiting this store for such a long time now. Customer service was terrible. I feel like I should apologize for coming in and spending my hard earned money on their products. Seemed like nobody really wanted you there. I asked the guy behind the counter how he was doing and said hello. He said nothing to me so that was very welcoming. The game selection is not great at all. Very small wall selection, majority the store is just a bunch of people at tables playing and talking about Warhammer. There are so many other places you can go that will present you just an ounce of human decency. If you respect your hard earned money, I recommend spending it elsewhere.
