It's also for the real collectors, they have a professional eye for quality in cards and their inventory reflects that. If selling, they are fair in what they offer and a better deal that most other card shops. Truly a gem of a store and I hope they stay around for decades to come!
This shop has a great environment and feel, the shop owners treat you like family and are very knowledgeable in TCG from magic to pokemon and the recently released and popular Disney Lorcana. The events hosted here are some of the best in the L-A area. I wanted to get into Lorcana locally and this shop supports the hobby to the fullest. Tons of products, prize support and prices that can’t be beat! I encourage everyone to go check em out!
This place is a real gem. Staff are always super friendly and engaging. Their selection of board games is pretty good but the Warhammer selection is really outstanding. If you collect Warhammer and live in northern Minnesota, this is worth driving out of your way for. You can also browse their stock online before you get in the car. Highly recommend!

My old roommate comes back to Bham only a few times a year. We were looking for activities to do while he was back for the summer and decided to try to get through a bunch of games from our board game collections. Problem was, he was staying at his folks' place that was a little cramped for space atm and my partner and I have a dog who isn't too fond of visitors. Well, Aegis was the solution. A fun, chill spot to reignite our passion for the tabletop and board game hobby. We played here virtually every weekend over the summer and several weekdays to boot. It was great. Great staff. Super cozy and friendly vibe. Tons of games and paints and miniatures. Can't recommend highly enough.
By far one of the best places to get your singles, slabs, and prices! They usually have products most other stores don't have! Variety of sets and cards! Super fun to shop at and very friendly and fair owners! Super highly recommended to anyone looking for a new spot to shop for your pokemon!!!

This is a fantastic store and space. There are comfortable couches and lots of tables and chairs for gameplay and even private rooms. Their selection is excellent, including their locally designed T-shirts. They even have a selection of free cards for new players. I highly recommend Alchemist’s Refuge.
We needed to burn some time before our excursions for the day while in Boise… so my adult son and I visited this store. Had a large selection, and a good number of tables set up. And the one staff guy answered my some questions…
An absolute wonderful store for competitive card games. the best of the best show up for wonderful league and tournament play. the workers are very helpful and the store is kept nice clean and tidy. It is a great place for Purchasing your hard to find cards and also great if you are wanting to sell cards of value. (no magic the gathering except some booster packs). This makes the atmosphere very palatable and brings a different type of crowd to the store which is wonderful to see. Always the stop to make when in the area. Very helpful to the new player and great at helping you pick out the gift idea for the gaming relative or friend.

We love coming in on our days off! They have so much more then just sports cards! We go in a get lot of Pokémon cards, Union Arena, and Magic The Gathering cards! They also host Mgic nights and Pokémon nights so we all can get together and have a fun time playing games with like minded individuals. We love all of the workers and the owner so much! Rob, Torie, and Aaron are all so cool and are extremely knowledgeable. We didnt know much about playing or collecting when we first started going, but they didnt mind and helped us learn and have lots of fun!
