The staff is always very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Lots of MTG, DND and Kickstarteresque ttrpgs. Fairly decent selection of Warhammer products. I've successfully been able to get my kill team preorders in the past couple times I've tried. Fingers crossed I'll get the tomb world and the next several releases as well through them. I think it helps that they don't offer preorders via their online ordering system, which is great for local patrons like myself. For my fellow painters and modelers, they carry almost all of the new army painter (fanatic, speed paints 2.0, etc) and pro acryl lines along with their accessory products. At the time of this writing, they've begun carrying a very limited selection of AK interaction diorama products and play markers, which I'd like to see expanded to include their 3rd Gen paints and other weathering products/enamels/and if I'm being really greedy, some of the stuff from their publishing arm. No Vallejo products as of present but it would be great to see their paints being sold here too. I totally understand this isn't realistic given their available floor space and how quickly inventory may or may not turn around on these products for them as a retailer. Just wishful thinking. They host a community painting night on Wednesday which I have yet to attend given that I have a large home studio and primarily paint solo or have groups of friends over to paint but it's nice to know they do that and encourage it. Chicago and the suburbs have a great local model/miniature painting scene with active, multiple golden demon/other prestigious mini painting award winners and I've tried to encourage fair game to host these folks for classes, and offered their contact info, as an additional revenue stream for fair game and as an additional driver of foot traffic to the store and as a means to further encourage the growth of the painting community in the suburbs, but have yet to be successful as I've never run into the owners and the regular floor employees have told me I need to run it by them. My only minor complaint is that their products are all sold, as far as I can tell, at MSRP. I think this is a small price to pay for a well stocked, friendly, reliable local retailer. Most of what I purchase through them are paints/diorama products/GW stuff, so this isn't a huge deal as the typical online discount these products tends to be about 15% off MSRP.

The store was clean and well kept. Plenty of ay space and the overall atmosphere was really good. But then you get to the pricing of items. The pokemon etbs were ridiculously overpriced. Booster packs are laughable being marked up and extra 50%. Collection boxes or booster bundles are the same way. I tried to hold out skepticism and look at their singles selection. The store actually did have a good selection of singles for pokemon you just had to ask to see their binders. But then you ask the price for them all and get fronted with reality again. They dont ask for market value, they say they sell at "mid market" of tcg. So a card thats 135 they would sell for about 155. Yea im good on that lol. Did end up grabbing a few cheaper cards just to make the trip worth it. Wouldn't recommend unless your willing to fork over some extra cash.
