# KeepUp

> KeepUp is a directory of trading card game shops for Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and similar games. Most listings are in the United States.

Use this site to find a shop by city or state, or to open a known shop listing. Shop pages describe the store (location, games, hours when available). They are not live inventory, prices, or a checkout API.

## When to use this

Use KeepUp when the job is to find a trading card shop, or to open the public page for a shop you already know.

- The shop is in a US city or state, such as Fresno, California or CA.
- The shop sells a named game, such as Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, or Yu-Gi-Oh!.
- You know part of the shop name and need its page.

Call findShops with GET https://www.keepupcards.com/api/v1/shops. Pass at least one of state, city, game, or q. Read the url field on each shop and open that page. Each call returns at most 20 shops. Pass page=2 for the next page, up to page 20. No API key.

Do not use KeepUp for live card prices, what is in stock, or checkout. Do not send a body to findShops. Do not call /api/ routes other than /api/v1/shops. Those belong to the website.

Errors are JSON problem documents with a code, a detail, and a resolution. operationId, parameters, and schemas are in the OpenAPI file.

- [OpenAPI specification](https://www.keepupcards.com/openapi.json): Machine-readable description of findShops, including the operationId, typed parameters, and error schemas.

Individual shops are at https://www.keepupcards.com/shop/{slug}. A shop page has the store name, city, games, hours when we have them, and the address. This file does not list every shop; there are thousands. Use the sitemap for the full public URL list.

City pages (https://www.keepupcards.com/directory/{state}/{city}) answer "card shops in that city." Game pages (https://www.keepupcards.com/directory/games/{game}) list shops for one game. Game-plus-city pages (https://www.keepupcards.com/directory/{state}/{city}/{game}) answer "that game's shops in that city" and only exist when the city has at least 3 shops for that game. Filtered URLs that add ?city= or ?games= are search screens, not the pages to cite.
