It's my go to store for almost everything I need. If you are in the self checkout line make sure you say hi to Cooper He's a great guy and always willing to help you out.
Wow. I am continually shocked and surprised at the poor management, mismarked or unpriced items all over the store, general incompetence, items ringing up at wrong prices (in the stores favor) and general ineptitude here. I wish this store would disappear and make room for something else. You best double check your receipt at every visit. They have no qualms about ripping people off. Management at this store seems to not give a crap about customers, at all. Almost every visit here is some kind of bad experience.
I have been going to City Market for years, and Every Time I go there, they advertise deals and then when you go to purchase- the deal is not there. I have resorted to taking a picture of the items on sale as I shop because you won’t remember and the check out person is never sorry because they are fed up with it too! Yesterday, I was there and I purchased 2 pints of strawberries advertised as $1.25- they rang up as $3.49- the checkout girl got on her phone and insisted they were $3.49, I said I walked in and they are right in front for $1.25. Next, I purchased 5 large Kombuchas- buy 5 or more for $7.99, they rang up as $8.99, I told the girl, she didn’t believe me and she was so rude to me, blaming me. City Market knows they false advertise - but they get away with it . Because it has Always been like this and the employees know this too. Just check that the challenge butter rings up. Also, every time you use the self automated check out- you will be accused of stealing and they will freeze the machine and come look at the video. I have tried for years to avoid that- but nope. The reduced produce use to be a buck, now 1.50 which is no longer worth it. It is usually rotten and certainly not cost effective.
