Gatehouse Games is a great place to go and pick up your hobby and gaming supplies. Tim, the owner, is super nice and he knows the games he sells (and then some). If you have someone who is starting out, stop in there. You'll like it.

A wonderful place to get any your card hobbies no matter what flavour, the staff are so kind and friendly and provide a wonderful environment for playing the card games of your choice with friendly locals and the are kind and very helpful to new players like myself highly recommended thank you !

stopped into Gathering Grounds on a whim and ended up staying way longer than planned. If you play Magic: The Gathering, this place is a gem. The MTG selection is deep singles organized and easy to browse, plenty of sealed product on the shelves (including Commander decks), and prices that felt fair across the board. They also keep an events calendar and clearly put effort into building a welcoming play space for drafts and Commander nights, which is exactly what you want from a real LGS. Special shoutout to Nick, the owner. He didn’t just ring me up; he listened to what I play (mostly Commander), pointed me toward a couple of upgrades I hadn’t considered, and talked through sleeve/deck box options without any upsell pressure. You can tell he cares about the community, he knew regulars by name, and the vibe in the store was friendly and inclusive. I left with a couple of singles and a sealed product for the weekend, plus a reason to come back: the next event on their schedule sounds like a blast. If you’re a new player looking to learn or a long-time grinder hunting specific cards, Gathering Grounds is absolutely worth your time. Five stars from me. See you at the next draft!

Truthfully, I haven’t ever had a better experience anywhere. Jen and Frank are the most amazing ownership duo. They truly care about the hobby and the customer. Aside from having the absolute far and away best selection of what I was looking for from my preferential vintage era, they have the absolute best deals and prices. I went to over 15 stores this week while in town for work, as far as Orlando, and all my purchases were made right here at Geek Nation! Jen and Frank also went far above and beyond for me incredible customer service and showing me product that wasn’t even out in the store. Newly back into the hobby, reacquainted after 22 years or so, and dating back about 27 years this place takes the cake! This place is a must go to for all your Pokémon and hobby needs! This is not a promotional review, this was somone who just had an amazing experience, and I know they treat all their customers and will treat you the same! Only place this week I’m even taking the time to review like such, because this was that important. Thank you Jen and Frank and see you again soon when I am back in town! ☺️

Store is setup good but comic selection is horrible, if you want books that's picked through from last year it's your store.... The guy behind the counter knows nothing about comics. Be prepared to wait and wait and wait while the guy looks up the price for any older books. Horrible 2 experiences. Just go to Bob's or Sanctum comics downtown if you are looking for a real LCS.
If you're in Flagstaff and looking for an awesome local game shop, look no further than Geekery Games! I recently had the pleasure of visiting, and I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a super nice and incredibly helpful guy behind the counter. His friendly demeanor and willingness to assist made for a fantastic experience. It's always great to find a place where the staff genuinely enjoys what they do and is happy to help customers. Geekery Games boasts a fantastic selection for fans of trading card games. Whether you're a Planeswalker searching for your next Magic: The Gathering staple or a Trainer on the hunt for rare Pokémon cards, they've got you covered with a well-organized and diverse inventory. Beyond TCGs, they also cater to the role-playing crowd with a really nice selection of Dungeons & Dragons materials. From rulebooks to miniatures and accessories, you're likely to find something to enhance your next campaign. Overall, Geekery Games is a standout shop in Flagstaff. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff, and a great range of products for Magic, Pokémon, and D&D makes it a must-visit for any tabletop enthusiast. I highly recommend checking them out!

Easily THE best place in LA to find or host a D&D game. The space is constantly expanding, they’ve had full on Magic tournaments happening and you’d never know it from your game space. They also have a huge selection of board games available to play with your friends whenever you like. Show up, pick a game, and play. The staff is super helpful and their stock is well priced and extensive. Their in-house $8 dice sets are some of the nicest I’ve ever seen south of $50. Do yourself a favor and stop in, even if just to peek in at the private game rooms. This place is a treasure.

There are so many better game stores in the area. I saw that people liked this place and stopped in today to check it out with a friend and I left uncomfortable. We were the only customers in the store and the worker was more interested in their game than helping us check out. When we finished our first purchases some sleeves and a deck box we took a look at their singles and by that point the worker had gone back to playing their game. When I walked over to the table after waiting a while for someone to help us they scrunched their face up and poutily walked over to the register critisizing that we should have bought everything at once. I understand that it can be annoying making multiple sales for the same person but to ignore customers and act that way when you do get around to it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure there are more patient employees but I won't be going back to Gem City Games. I hope things change moving forward but this place was an uncomfortable trip from the time I walked in to the time I left.
