This is the best place in town to get high-quality card sleeves and prices are competitive to online. They have dragon shield and game-specific sleeves that rotate through. Sometimes some very cool and unique options. I can't help but to check the sleeves section every visit. For TCG players and collectors, it's like being in a candy shop. They have so many cool games to explore... The big ones, and all sorts of lesser-known games like Akora and Metazoo. Some of their TCG prices can high sometimes, but that is very standard for game shops in my experience, so I don't really hold that against them too much. They do have a great setup for playing as well, with a whole separate room as well as tables in the shop area. And we have always felt welcome either by ourselves or with our kid (family friendly!) If you like paints and other collectibles, they also have tons. The overall selection at this place is vast! All-in-all I love this shop and I've always had friendly encounters with the owners & staff

Good people but had a bad experience when they vended at Fan Expo Chicago. I was going through their bulk box for about an hour and found some good cards I wanted. Some of the prices for the same cards varied and the shop employee told me it's because they're not always consistently checking the prices for their bulk box items (for example, I found 4 different N's Zoroarks at different prices ranging from $2 to $9). While searching, I found a Brilliant Stars Trainer Gallery Umbreon Vmax for $11. As I was showing them the cards I was looking to buy, the owner came up, said the price was wrong, immediately re-priced the item at $60 and put it in their display case instead of back in the bulk box. This was after we chatted, had a bit of banter, and I was led to believe that they were gamers for gamers. Sadly, no amount of being good people means much in the face of money. They get 3 stars for having a great selection at standard pricing but definitely 2 less stars due to them doing the physical definition of a seller on TCGplayer cancelling your order because you ordered cards at a good value that spiked in price. I can't fault them for doing what any common businessperson would do, but it still left an awful feeling that I had for the rest of the convention; should have expected less.

Your friendly local game store! Shop, play, and hang out in our inclusive space!
Its always great dropping into Local Game Stores when I'm passing through towns to find very thoughtful and well stocked stores tucked into small store fronts. 619 is just one of those places, except the small store from continues on into the back and opens up into a well sized game space. Though I didn't have the chance to play any events their the guy behind the counter we very friendly, willing to chat, and was perfectly happy to check prices of things for me! Which he had to do a lot due to my only complaint about the store... no price tags. Always frustrating going through a store that doesn't price their items, especially one with merch in front of the counter and in different rooms. Regardless, the store has a great selection of reasonably priced sealed Magic the Gathering and Pokemon, a healthy selection of singles, and they even have a generous "community bin" of commons and uncommons they allow customers to take from for free that most other places would be charging a quarter a piece for. Honestly a great place to check out, even if you're passing through, but I'm sure an awesome place to spend some time if you're local!

A - Z is any hobbyists dreamland- I have been a customer for 20+ years - my earliest hobby memories are in this store! They are the epitome of expertise, honesty, funny and genuine service. The prices? Unbeatable. The selection? Always fresh and new. The staff? 10/10 people. The type of people you consider friends after going so many times. I think the best part about A-Z is they are ALWAYS willing to give you friendly and truthful advice - they are always looking out for fellow hobbyists and NEVER prioritize profit over what their customer wants by always being honest. Don’t forget this is a FAMILY company 3 brothers, 2 daughters and a couple long time extremely committed and caring employees!!! Visit A-Z and support this local and so so deserving company for all your hobby needs you will leave with not only a great deal but a few laughs and a good story! - Collin

We had a great experience last weekend. We don’t have a local shop near us for TCG. Sealed product was limited which was expected with the current state of Pokemon but they had an excellent selection of singles that were priced very reasonably and the guy working was more than accommodating. We were there for 2 hours looking around and asked to look at probably 50+ cards and he was awesome about it no matter how many cards we didn’t end up getting or wanted to look at. This will be our main card shop stop for now on.

The pandemic-era rediscovery of a cache of old baseball cards led to the birth of a new business for 19-year old Aaron Amarant. After rapidly becoming one of the largest and most respected trading card dealers on eBay, AA Mint Cards last month celebrated the grand opening of their first real-world, state-of-the-art location at 9630 Stirling Road in the new Cooper Square Plaza. In just a short time it has become the area’s premiere one-stop shop for the buying, selling, grading, and consignment of trading cards of all kinds, from sports, to Pokémon, Star Wars, Magic the Gathering, and beyond. “During quarantine my dad pulled out a safety deposit box and found a Topps Wayne Gretzky rookie card from when he was a teen,” said Aaron. “We got it graded and I sold it on eBay for a few thousand dollars. That’s when the light bulb went off.” Father and son decided to combine their expertise – dad knew card collecting, and Aaron knew eBay – and launch AA Mint Cards as an online store. It’s a competitive field, but the team has their ways of finding great inventory. Said Aaron, “We search for hid- den corners of the internet other people aren’t noticing, athletes we feel are undervalued, things like that. It’s finding your niche and expanding from there.” Their approach has been astoundingly successful: Today, AA is an eBay “Top Seller” with over 4000 positive reviews and zero negatives. “We visited a trading card store in California, and people there recognized the brand from our t-shirts,” said Aaron. “Having that kind of worldwide reach is really cool.”
