Had a fantastic time at The Side Deck Gaming Café with my child! The space is clean, welcoming, and full of energy — perfect for gamers of all ages. What really made our visit special was the outstanding service from Tess. Tess went above and beyond to make sure both of us felt comfortable and included. She was incredibly patient and kind with my child, taking the time to explain games and even helping us find something fun we could enjoy together. It’s not often you find staff who are that attentive and genuinely enthusiastic. This kind of experience is why we’ll definitely be coming back. Huge thanks to Tess for making our visit such a memorable one!
What a great store. What a very cool setup. Tons of wax. I would say more hobby boxes than retail. But still a great selection of retail. A bunch of memorabilia if your looking for something for the garage, bar or gift. Ton of singles, can spend a long time looking through em. Couple tables to break at if you want to open at the store. If your in the area this place is a must stop! Also had a little selection of matchbox cars. And a really good selection of pokemon. And a couple of arcade games. Go check it out and enjoy.
Absolutely loved our visit to Sport Shack! It’s a fantastic card shop that offers a great selection of Pokémon cards, perfect for kids and collectors alike. Our kids were thrilled to explore all the trading options and even made some new friends while swapping cards. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, helping us find exactly what we needed. It's a vibrant and welcoming space that encourages kids to engage with their interests. We’ll definitely be back for more fun and trading adventures! Highly recommend for any young Pokémon fans!

I've visited this store many times in the past, having been a regular for years of tournaments. Life happened, and after some time away, I’ve recently come back to play again. It’s clear that hosting quality, readily available tournaments across the popular card games is still a major focus of the store, and I respect that. While I can see some differences in how the store is run these days, I still think it's a fantastic place to shop if you're looking for popular sealed TCG products. For example, as of the most recent Pokémon release (at the time of writing), they had plenty in stock... though at a relatively high markup. I don’t blame the store for this, as they want to maintain stock and attract customers and Pokémon is insanely popular right now. The pricing is still within a reasonable range compared to other local card shops. They also carry a surprisingly wide selection of Dragon Shield sleeves for both Japanese-sized and Standard-sized cards, which is a big plus in my book. My only real complaint is the lack of price tags on many items. I’m sure there’s a reason for this, but I’m not sure what it would be. Lastly, while most of the employees offer great customer service, there are a couple who could be much better. If you're looking to play in tournaments locally in the Bay Area, this is without a doubt the place to go.

I’ve known Merced Salinas and his family for years, and they’ve built more than just a store, they’ve created a welcoming community. The store is always organized, well-stocked, and they’re great at helping you find exactly what you’re looking for (or even suggesting something new you’ll love). Of the two stores in Alabama that were participating in DCCRPG Day 2024, this one was slightly closer to us so we drove from Oxford, AL to pick up all the new things. The owner of the store was kind enough to set product aside so we wouldn’t have wasted our trip and was very engaging when we arrived. The store itself is great and I’m kinda glad I live as far as I do, it would be tempting to spend a LOT of money there. Board games, toys, model kits, painting supplies, dice and more; these guys have it all. If you’re in the area and are a board game enthusiast, go shopping here! Great shop!
We drove an hour to come and check this place our! We loved it, and we will gladly drive again. Amazing selection, good and fair prices, amazing singles and packs. Customer service was amazing and very up front guy, true class. Really loved this place. Was able to get what my little wanted, very happy!!!!
