If you're into sports or trading cards, stop by Grand Slam. I often stay longer than intended because the selection is amazing and the staff are highly knowledgeable and respectful. The shop is always planning tournaments, scheduling/attending card shows and other after-hours events. Its worth stopping by and supporting this local business.
While this store has a great selection of Pokemon TCG products, I cannot stress enough to do your research before you go in this store. As a store that claims to use trusted sources to determine their prices, this establishment just sold an open box to my unsuspecting husband at $70 over market (on sealed product mind you). While one could say my husband should have done his research, it’s kind of crazy to me that a store that has such a presence in town would deliberately stay quiet when my husband paid for the box. Afterwards, I had him go back to the store to get some clarification on the price, only for them to ignore the actual market price and just say they can’t help him (with a poor attitude as well). We will not be returning here in the future, and I highly suggest anyone planning on visiting to do research on market prices before coming here.
My family and I have been coming to this store for years and will continue for many more. The owner has invested so much time into our 7 year old son and has encouraged his love for reading and Star Wars. He always takes time to show our little guy new things he’s gotten in and talk about whatever new books or toys our son is into. They also have a great selection of kids comic books, Star Wars toys, games and soooo much more. We truly appreciate this store more than you know.
Hands down the best local sports card shop around! Whether you're a serious collector or just getting into the hobby, this place has something for everyone. The selection is always solid — from singles and packs to hobby boxes and supplies — and the prices are fair. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the hobby, which makes the experience even better. I've found some great cards here and always look forward to stopping in. If you're into sports cards, this is the shop to check out!
