Genuinely most friendly and engaging game store me and my wife have visited yet. It’s tough, we’ve visited 3 Game Havens and a Rift Gate and gotten really unfriendly and not very engaging interactions. Hastur has a good selection of Lorcana cards and even though it’s not a broad selection, I’d go here any day just for the vibe and community! Entering a new hobby such as TCGs and having a friendly community to shop around is a great feeling. Hastur as a whole has A LOT to offer from figurines, painting for figurines, simple board games, in depth board games, RPG board games, accessory’s like sleeves, card books, play mats, booster packs, DnD dice and so much more even I haven’t discovered. We go there for Lorcana mostly and they have a great selection. Definitely our go to neighborhood game store and definitely recommend.
What an awesome experience stopping in at Haven Hobby! I was from out of town and had limited time to visit a local store, I chose to visit Haven Hobby and was not disappointed. Full line of hard to find products like AK 3rd gen and real colors. Great kits on the shelf, which you can tell are all specially selected for quality and ratings, the prices are more than reasonable, along with a bunch of paint/tool/diorama/air brush accessories that are always great pick ups. If Im ever back in the area, I’ll definitely be stopping in again. If you are new or a veteran in the hobby you cannot go wrong with stopping in at Hobby Haven, they will take care of you. Also he mentioned if there is something you need and they don’t have in stock, they can definitely get it for you! Can’t beat that. Supporting local businesses is tough sometimes due to so many options nowadays, but Haven Hobby makes it very easy. If you’re in the area, this one is a must visit. Locally owned business ran by a dad and his sons, unbeatable!
One of my favorite places ever sense I was a kid. Never had a bad interaction with the person behind the counter, always willing to help(if they can). Will order things for the customers. The atmosphere was always great when I use to join in on fnm. I'm into collecting and painting miniatures nowadays, Hawghead has a decent selection. Plus a good selection of novelty items, so if you wanna buy someone a gift this is a great place to check out. I like to support my local shop when I can. This shop is great! Haley and Ben are super nice to talk to. We went in with our toddler and baby girl who was asleep at the time a little after their soft opening. They were welcoming and even showed us a small spot where our toddler could pick out a free Pokemon tin. They have a great selection of not just Pokemon and the store looks great! They even gave our toddler a free trick or treat Pokemon pack! Amazing people. Even though this card shop is pretty far from us, we will be sure to go there more in the future. Keep it up guys!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. HBZ to our family is so much more than a place to look at sports cards. Corey has created a welcoming, family-oriented environment that has been a crucial part of helping our family return to normalcy after being challenged by health issues this last year. If you have a child or teen who likes sports trading cards, this is the place to bring them. Corey goes out of his way to answer questions, share in successes and failures, and lift up everyone who walks through the door. It is clearly about so much more than buying and selling cards. We are so grateful for this wonderful place and highly recommend.
