I've been collecting sports cards for over 30 years, and my 9-year-old son has recently caught the bug as well. Our experience at Jay's Sport and Hobby in Tomah, Wisconsin, was nothing short of spectacular!Jayden, the owner, is absolutely amazing. He's incredibly helpful, considerate, and extremely knowledgeable about the hobby. His insights and expertise make the experience even better, especially for newcomers and those of us who have been out of the game for a while. From the moment we walked in, we felt no pressure to buy anything and were always made to feel welcome.Both my son and I ended up purchasing several packs and boxes, and we had several hits. My son even pulled cards of his favorite players and even his first Auto!!! It was such a memorable and uplifting experience for both of us.On top of the fantastic card selection, there is some unbelievable autographed sports memorabilia like basketballs, jerseys, and so much more. It's a collector's paradise! We frequently travel up north, and while it's a good hour or so out of our way, we'll most likely always be stopping in at Jay's Sport and Hobby in Tomah. I couldn't recommend it enough! If you're into sports cards or hobbies, this is the place to be. Thank you, Jayden, for making our visit so special!
The owner is so friendly and helpful. We have had nothing but good experiences here. If your kids or yourself are into vintage and later models collectables this place is great! Our son loves the Star Wars and transformer selection. Go support this place and shop local.
A small but amazing & stocked shop. The owner had to step away for a bit to pick up new stock so l decided to come back after lunch. When we got there, he was extremely nice and let us take our time looking through his selection. Personable and was pleasant to talk too. Reasonably priced and shared the same love for collecting as his customers. This is the kind of shop I want to see succeed!
What an awesome place. The store is very warm and cozy, unlike most of the pop-up card stores you see around. The staff was super nice and made it a great time for the kids. There are a bunch of tables that were full of people playing card games. Looks like they have a monthly schedule for games like pokemon, magic, and D&D. They had all kinds of products from cards to plushies, and D&D figures. All in all, it's a very cool place for all your nerdy desires.
JC was incredibly friendly and helpful with finding the books I was looking for and guiding me through the massive inventory in the store. I shopped for around an hour and a half and we chatted the whole time. Being newer to comics the amount of books in the store seems intimidating, but JC made it easy. Will definitely be going back.
This shop is the best around imho. Had to sell some of my collection. I went to every shop in the area. The owner is the person I was dealing with. He gave me the highest value for my cards from a shop. Was really impressed with how fair he was. Been there twice so far and have plans for more visits in the future. If you're looking to sell some of your more high value cards. They give the most value for graded high end cards. They have the best selection of Kabooms, downtowns, colorbursts, all the good stuff. They have it at good prices. Best shop in the greater Seattle area. Worth the trip everytime. They pay 15-20% higher than any other shop. The owner knows how to conduct good business.
