Cool store, large selection. I stopped in for pokemon cards. This would have been a 5 start review but I discovered another spot and realized the bar is higher than they're willing to go. Demolition had better prices and organization. I spent an hour and a half looking for a card in a sea of thousands. Demolition has their cards sorted by connections.

The selection is decent, but it does feel just a bit cramped. Also one of the employees was a bit stand offish after overhearing what our opinion on a particular game was, but it didn't ruin the experience and he was still willing to assist us. Overall a fun store to be in if you're a nerd (as the name implies)

Honestly one of the most honest and nicest store owners I have met. I have been to his shop twice and bought very cool things from rare Halo helmets, zoids, Iron Man collectible, Mandalorian, to Pokemon games and very cool limited edition Pokemon consoles. If you want to build the coolest collection, Mike is your guy. He has the coolest stuff and he is very reasonable.

Me and hubby went in here last night for the first time and when we walked in we were greeted by Bryce, I believe that was his name, who was very friendly and polite. There were a bunch of people playing Pokemon and other games and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. We were looking at the Pokemon cards and any questions we had, he answered them honestly. He was patient with all of our questions with us being new to Pokemon card collecting. We found some goodies and when we got home I forgot a card I wanted so we went back and got it. Overall it was a great experience and everybody was friendly. We will be going back weekly to check out new cards and say hi. Also, the prices are extremely fair for what the cards are. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

As someone who grew up in comic and card shops, I had always dreamed to one day open a store of my own. I love everything about these kinds of stores and they have helped shape who I am as a person. The feeling of getting together with a lot of people of similar interest is hard to beat and most of my good friends have come from people I have met in card/comic shops. I opened this store with the intent that this store would be a place where people who have hobbies or interest could gather and have a good time as well as know that there was somewhere that would carry the types of things they were into. I also like the way my wife said it to me before we opened the store, “Lets make the store into an everyday Anime convention that way people who cant go to the big conventions have a place they can enjoy”. The name of the business also means a lot to me. I thought long and hard about it when I started the business in 2014. “Otaku” because it means people who get really into their hobbies and “Hangout” because I wanted the business to turn into somewhere that people could sit and enjoy themselves. Thus “The Otaku Hangout” to me literally means this is a place for people who have hobbies and interest to come and gather and have a good time. When the open sign is on and our doors are open there is plenty of room for people to come and enjoy the space and merchandise inside.
