The worst parts of this hobby are on full display at Azlin’s: extreme prices, apathetic employees, and (at best) an aversion to transparency. Unfortunately, not an atypical experience at these sorts of card shops. My experience mirrors what others have said here. I’ve been three times. Once, it was closed despite store hours displaying the opposite. The other times, they were open but only in practice - not in spirit. There’s a lady that wants to tell you about how everyone that comes in steals and there’s a couple of dudes who would ostensibly prefer you leave. A real bummer and a missed opportunity. A lot of cool stuff if you can live with the other stuff.

This place claims to have the best security in the area, there have been multiple reports of high-value cards going missing or being labeled as “stolen” without clear explanations. Several individuals have shared similar experiences, where cards sent in for appraisal or consignment—sometimes worth significant amounts—have not been returned or accounted for. This pattern raises legitimate concerns about transparency, accountability, and internal security practices. If you’re considering doing business here especially involving valuable cards, it may be wise to proceed with caution and ensure clear documentation are in place.

I've been going here for a little bit and I do usually like it! The lady in there is a very kind and welcoming person and I've gotten some good cards from them. The guys on the other hand are very interesting to say the least. Last time I was in there they were having an uncomfortable situation where a customer apparently had his cards lost by them, and instead of rectifying the situation they just cursed at them and made it very uncomfortable for me to be in there. This ain't the first time I've seen this type of behavior from the gentlemen, but more importantly it's probably the last time I walk into that card shop all because of their treatment of another customer. I just felt uncomfortable and a little embarrassed for them. The older lady would be the only reason I go back in there if I really wanted to, since she's a very lovely lady and has always treated me kindly
