Baxter's Cards and Games

Been going to Baxters for several years simply because it's the closest game store to where I live, but if I had any other reasonable options I would take them. There is never any pricing on the merchandise, and when I've gone the staff is usually playing Magic and not paying much attention. Today was the third time I've walked out because nobody came to the counter for ten minutes.

My boyfriend and I have come to Baxter’s many times, and they have always offered us 60% trade on our magic cards. Today, I come in and am told they will give 50% trade, and they have NEVER given 60% trade. We always make a long drive to come here, because they have a lot of good inventory, but even that is extremely overpriced. It’s $20 per pack for wilds of eldraine, $300 per set booster! I can get a set booster for $185 on eBay! The staff here is not welcoming at all, except for one guy but he is rarely there when we come now. Only come here if you’re desperate for cool sets, it is not worth your time, money, or trade otherwise.

Wow. This has got to be the best store I've been to for pokemon cards in 27 years of life, and thats not even speaking on all of the other cards, collectibles, and toys that I didnt look at. In my 3ish hours in this store I was treated to kind employees, great deals on cards, other friendly customers, and patience with how many people were there, including a large group of people having a game night with whatever they were playing. But I've got to tell you... NATE. Nate is the man. He was friendly, patient, respectful of the kids talking his ear off; doing trades with them through the store and personally, and an absolute joy to talk to. You can tell that he LOVES doing what he does. Even if we didn't find the cards we wanted today, we would come back just based off of his charisma alone. This place deserves the business it has and then some. Great stuff guys.
