I decided to just go for a drive just to enjoy a drive and honestly I wound up forgetting I was about to hit the bridge and wound up paying the toll to hit Benicia. Didn't wanna waste my toll and not visit a fun spot, so I googled MTG near me and wound up at Black Diamond Games. OMG I am so so happy that fate steered me in their direction for a few reasons. First of all, the store is pretty big with a large gaming area. Second of all, they have a huge variety of games and other hobby items. Third of all, there are quite a few fun items (plushies, dice sets, blind boxes, etc). Finally, the 2 people working today were incredibly kind to this elder weeb/nerd and very new MTG player. Got a few packs to rip, a blind box, and some card dividers for my newest storage box. I also got to have a fun lil convo as well with people who honestly kind of understood me, which is always a bonus! Honestly, I wish I was a lil closer because I'd definitely stop by on a game night sometime. Oh! LGBTQIA+ friendly also! Support your local game shops y'all!
Although it was brief, I enjoyed my time at Black Diamond Games. I was recently at Concord to pick up board games for a game night, and this store is situated in a nice area. This place is very spacious and the upper floor looked really cool! The selection was fairly decent with even some TCG options at the register area. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be visiting this place again!
