CGR used to be a gaming store that I liked going to every once in a while. I got recommended the store by a GameStop employee, and my mom and I tried it. It was a bit too small for my personal liking, but I enjoyed the store for the selection of games that it offered. They also seem to keep their trade-in credit consistent, which is good. However, I lost interest when they changed the store layout to put everything in the store behind the counter. I do not like this layout for used video games - unless it comes to higher value titles. When it comes to retro games, I like to inspect them closely and know what I am buying before I buy it. I remember one time when I asked for a copy of Pac-Man World 2 on PS2. Every game here is sealed on the shelf in a plastic bag, which I don’t mind, and they label the games accordingly whether they come “CIB” with the manual and other inserts or they only just have the game. I like that they do this. My game, in particular, did not have the manual. I would have asked to put it back and select another game. However, with this behind-the-counter setup, it feels awkward to ask to do that. It doesn’t really matter that much in the grand scheme of things, but I do like buying games that have the manual included. I can understand that some people may still enjoy this store and have a better shopping experience than me, so I would still recommend it if you’re into retro gaming. I still think they have a pretty good selection and friendly and knowledgeable staff. However, having everything behind the counter takes away from the experience for me.

I’m a frequent customer, and this store never disappoints. It has a great selection of games and consoles, plus a kind and helpful staff.

I come here every so often to buy games for my PS3 and Switch, or even just to look at what they have every week or so. The employees there are nice and supportive. They have pretty much everything there that a gamer from all platforms needs, as well as merch and some board games. Also, they have other console stuff such as USB cords, 3rd-party controllers, to even classic and 3rd-party consoles. Everything there is priced differently - While some games are expensive because they are a rarity, others are as cheap as a dollar. 2025 edit - I bought a PlayStation Portable console here for a cheap price of $99. It was of good quality.
