Planning on giving them my whole binder for some comics
Had a hard time finding the place as it is now inside of a basement. While it did have a lot of great items and a great atmosphere, my experience was ruined when the lady behind the counter was shoving a bunch of Jehovah's Witness websites and scripture into my face as I was trying to leave.
Comics are literally just packed in boxes, no organization other than loosely DC and marvel halves. Some prices just don't make sense. Trying to find particular titles literally are told that there may be some in "points generally toward a quarter of the shop". No alphabetical, no superhero/title sorting... Nothing. 1.00 comics are buy 10 get 1. That's harsh. And many 1.00 comics are separated from their covers even. No sub 1.00 comics?? Only open Friday and Saturday and they don't even participate in free comic day!! That's the biggest social event in comics outside of con's. They do "alternative" thinga.. But that day is HUGE for me. Didn't return calls looking for specific comics. They're nice enough but I have to say I miss sour previous comic book shop that had closed down. We spent almost an hour looking for a specific title (meaning a character.. Not a specific book) (that they may or may not have) because we had to literally finger through every box. And marvel boxes had DC, DC boxes had marvel..... Occasionally. How hard to divide boxes and categorize at least by character or something. They're all just sitting. *sigh*. Same books in several places.. Same condition with different pricing... Sometimes by 10 or more dollars even.... Collectible figures kinda everywhere and can't even see them all... Stocked near ceiling with different figures behind.. Not even in the same series. So useless looking to buy them. Found them selling one Id purchased for like 5 elsewhere... One copy for 20 another for 30. Told that the expensive comics were in cabinet.. Saw more expensive comics on box on desk. Didn't see any accessories for sale... Sleeves, boxes, dividers..... I just don't get it. Say they have a "booth" in a store elsewhere for advertising.... Yet they don't do comic book day? I've found so many new comics to read this way, AND it brings me in.. Where I always end up buying comics.... And I'm not even a huge comic book shopper.... Once maybe a couple times a year or so. Was thinking I'd start going in more but.... Not sure with this experience. Heh...
