Gold Star Anime

Came in from out of town and was amazed by the sheer selection of this anime shop. I didn’t personally check out their games selection, but the selection here is impossible to beat - they had everything from old Tokyopop classics like Loveless to more modern Seven Seas releases. A must see if you’re passing through the area

Store has a good selection but is way way overpriced. I saw a product and inquired about price. I was told it was a whopping 60 dollars above market price for the same product (price checked TCGplayer). That was a 50% markup from the market price, which was already way above MSRP. When I asked if the owner would be willing to come down closer to the market price, he got very rude and went on a long rant about how he sold a different product for a different TCG for 800 dollars. I said if he wasn’t willing to come down then I wasn’t interested and got out of there. This is not the first time I’ve had similar experiences here, where product was way overpriced and the staff/owner was incredibly rude and just off-putting. If you visit, double check online pricing to make sure you aren’t getting ripped off.

Interesting assortment, not what I was expecting for middle of nowhere Edinboro! Very friendly owner, highly recommend for all my Anime aficionados!
