Wonderful and vast selection and very friendly staff. The woman who was behind the the counter when i was there was an absolute delight! She had read just about every graphic novel on the bookshelf and could give you a synopsis of any one you picked. She recommended this book and the author to me after i asked for a colorfully illustrated historical fiction with a cartoony art-style. Needless to say she was right and I couldn’t put this book down! Thank you to the cool lady with the lip piercing and to New England Comics! -Erin

We have a LOT of choices on comic shops in the area, and while I do adore most shops, this is my home store. All my subscriptions are here, and the deals on collections/bagged runs/TPBs are fantastic. No other shop I have seen has so many instantly available rack/new release comics and fluency in what they have, and it makes me wonder how they do it. The answer seems to be in the fantastic and knowledgeable people who work here and take it seriously while also still keeping conversations fun and inquisitive. Matt and Hannah specifically have built really strong and meaningful relationships with the customers in this store. Other top marks: 1. Fantastic organization of a large library of trades and graphic novels, 2. A very generous reward program and discounts for subscribed titles, 3. A very "classic comic shop" feel to the place in terms of how they fill the space, 4. A spoiler-free mandate on conversations on new media, for those it matters to (not I, but I never spoil for others) 5. A great location in Harvard right next to a few great pubs to sit and read your haul, 6. Great signings and artist events, ...and again, really authentic people working there.
