Northstar Games

New store. Very clean. My wife said it smelled better than all the other gaming stores! MTG and TCG focused, but also other games. Lots of tables and space to play. Drinks and snacks for sale. Scheduled weekly games. Owner was very attentive and helpful. Very inviting. Cool that it’s the only store in Waco with Flesh and Blood TCG. Good stuff. I’m gonna play there soon.

I was looking for a local game store as I got back into collecting Pokémon cards and was recommended to try out Northstar. As a woman in the gaming space, it can be pretty difficult to find a somewhere that feels comfortable, as most of these spaces tend to be male-dominated. I'm very happy that I took the step to try out this shop, as it's now a regular stop for my husband and I on Wednesday nights for the Pokémon TCG casual play! The staff have all been incredibly kind and I feel welcomed each time I visit. This is even more important to me, as the staff and owners really set the tone for what their community will be like. Overall, the community is relaxed and helpful, as many have encouraged my husband and I as new players and offered us tips to help improve our competitive play! The community is also open to trading, which has been such a cool part of integrating more with a store, as I've been able to add a ton to my vintage Pokémon collection just by meeting other Pokémon fans! I'm overjoyed with my experience here and this place has really helped me feel more confident and comfortable in the hobbies I love or want to pursue! 10/10 would recommend!!

Great card shop for hanging out and tournaments. Played a pokemon card tournament there and would recommend you try it out if you’re interested! Clean facility and excited to go back.
