UPDATE: The owners of Oak City Sportscards have reached out in an effort to make the situation I experienced right. They were kind, understanding, and earnest in their intention. I’ve updated my review score to reflect that. I filled out their appraisal form online and got some ‘interesting’ responses. First, Hunter Watkins (their Operations Manager) responded to my collection of 2001-2002 cards saying that it appeared I only had cards from the 80s and 90s. Second, after correcting him about the era my cards were from, he responded that they would only purchase cards valued over $100. Essentially, he told me I’d have to appraise my own cards before getting them appraised. Why even bother offering that service if you’re not interested in doing it? Just take it off of your website.

Love this place! Went in this morning to sell some cards before work & these guys were honest, respectful, and we came up with a great deal for the singles. I knew I wanted to sell to these guys & I sincerely appreciate it! I've also shopped here a number of times & the product selection is incredible. If you're looking for Cards close to downtown Raleigh, be sure to hit these guys up. Absolute LEGENDS! Shoutout to Holden for the positive experience this morning as well.
