Great store. Knowledgeable staff.
I purchased two BTVS graphic novels from this shop’s website and was disappointed with the shape they arrived in. The product listings did not mention that the books would be damaged or in such worn condition. While I understand that not every item will be in mint condition, both covers had noticeable rips and creases — an issue that should absolutely be disclosed, especially by a comic book retailer. Collectors place a lot of importance on quality, and I expected better transparency. A simple note in the description would have made a big difference.
Oiltown is a great family run comic shop. The owners are very knowledgeable and friendly and I look forward to going on because I know I will find something new and interesting. They also have a nice selection of FigPins, Pops, board games, WH40k, and other fun comic/game related items. With the store getting ready to expand and the addition of a game room in the future I can see myself spending time here.
