Few local places offer the sense of community Turnbuckle is providing Rockcastle. The employees are funny, knowledgeable, and kind. The prices are great, the variety of nerdy things and card games is huge, and they are super great with the clueless shopping ("uh, my 9yo nephew likes Pokémon") and my 3yo looking at every funko pop figure. I appreciate the consistency in events they are offering folks with plenty of times to join DnD, MTG, or other multi-player games.
Stopped in Mt. Vernon KY on my way to Pigeon Forge from Indiana and looking for a bite to eat off the beaten path passed by this place and as a life long wrestling fan knew I had to check it out. Owners were super friendly, inviting and informative. Glad I stopped by!
Such a fun, cool spot ! The store itself is inside the historic, charming Cox Hardware building that is now filled with all the collectibles, cards and wrestling items you could ever want! The vibe is super chill and welcoming—you can’t help but feel good when you walk in! The staff is incredibly friendly, like talking to old friends! Bruce, Brian and Dillon will greet you as you walk in, make you feel at home and help you out with anything you need! Everything feels carefully selected and there’s always something unique to check out. Today, I bought a piece of my childhood- Rainbow Brite!
Very friendly ownership and management. The store has a very welcome variety of items for purchase. I plan on making time to attend one of the various events that the venue hosts throughout the week, including MTG tournaments, D&D sessions, and more. A fantastic place to gift ship for the nerd in your life.
