Your Hobby Place

Your Hobby Place is my favorite LGS I've ever been to. Mike and the rest of the staff are super knowledgeable, incredibly friendly, and have built an amazing MTG community here. Coming here for commander every Tuesday is the highlight of my week. The singles could be better stocked and the rewards are a bit stingy, but the vibes here are great. I love this place. Best place to go to if you're new to magic and looking to try out an lgs.

This is a fantastic hobby store. It is the only hobby store that is metro accessible and within driving distance in the DMV area. They have a large amount of tables that can serve as tabletop gaming tables or card tables, they have a huge range of products going from your classic Warhammer to historicals, Star Wars, and other genres. In addition to that, the staff pride themselves on creating an inclusiveness atmosphere where all are welcome to game, and cleanliness of the store. I highly recommend for anyone on the DMV area to make this store your hobby place.

New to the area. Called in for a MTG draft and was told I'd be able to join if I made it in time. After arriving before start time, the employee does a count of the packs and informs me that I won't be able to join due to a lack of product. This was despite the store having another unopened box. To be fair, I was told that box was for the following week's draft. Mistakes can happen, and it was clearly a busy time for the store, filled with customers enjoying their Friday evening. The personal turn off was the tone and manner of the employee: curt and borderline condescending. Not the best first impression. I'll look elsewhere for my hobbies.
