From out of town and decided to check this place out. Apple Maps said this place was open Monday-Friday 11am - 6pm. We came on a Thursday and to our surprise the place is closed on Thursdays. Update your hours, what kind of business is closed on Thursday. Waste of time, energy, and money.
Incredible card shop! I drove all the way up from Goodyear with some friends to browse and pick up cards, and it was absolutely worth the hour drive. They had a selection of Pokemon cards I haven’t seen anywhere else in the valley, including some cards I’ve never come across at other shops (and I’ve been to plenty all over Phoenix). They’ve got whole other selections such as MTG, YuGiOh and One Piece as well. The owner was phenomenal — super chill, friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely passionate about the hobby. They’ve been open for about 4 months now and I highly, highly recommend supporting them. On top of that, he gave me a great discount on the cards I purchased, which made the experience even better! He gave my friends and I a free spin on the wheel of fortune as well for free goodies. 10/10 experience! Pictures attached are some of the cards bought and one of the many cases that they have:
We stumbled across DJ Collectibles while getting ice cream next door. Our son absolutely loves coming here, requesting it specifically for his birthday. There is such a wide variety of items in the store and it changes weekly! We specifically come here for the Pokemon cards and always find an extra little trinket for our son. We love it here, we will be back!
Fun little game shop. It definitely thrives off of the local MTG and DND community, but there are still some general appeal board games for sale too. The owner, Jimmy, is very helpful and obviously has this as his passion.
- Awesome tabletop hobby store emporium (and other hobbies!). I met one of the owners, I don't remember his name, I want to say it started with a J but I could be wrong, anyways he was awesome. He is more than happy to show you anything and talk about anything and everything in the store. I visited multiple gaming stores today and this one was the best one in terms of what's available at your fingertips to use for a very affordable price - unlike other places that charge a lot more to use their table(s)/painting. I saw they had a table here that you bring your own miniatures, use their paint, $2. You can't beat that. They had some great prices, they can 3D print what you bring in from Hero Forge (blueprint), extremely affordable hobby shop, a very wide selection of hobby items - from very niche to D&D everything. They have costume pieces as well, for Ren Faire and what not. There's a lot of unique things here. I loved this place, a true hidden gem.
