There are so many better game stores in the area. I saw that people liked this place and stopped in today to check it out with a friend and I left uncomfortable. We were the only customers in the store and the worker was more interested in their game than helping us check out. When we finished our first purchases some sleeves and a deck box we took a look at their singles and by that point the worker had gone back to playing their game. When I walked over to the table after waiting a while for someone to help us they scrunched their face up and poutily walked over to the register critisizing that we should have bought everything at once. I understand that it can be annoying making multiple sales for the same person but to ignore customers and act that way when you do get around to it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure there are more patient employees but I won't be going back to Gem City Games. I hope things change moving forward but this place was an uncomfortable trip from the time I walked in to the time I left.

We flew all the way from Hong Kong to Miami on vacation. Googled our way to GG Hobby Card to pick up some Pokemon cards. We were blown away by their inventory, they had everything!! Wow, what an amazing experience! Absolutely beautiful store! I should have left this review months ago. I have been in most of the stores between Weatherford, Arlington, and up to Allen, this is the best, and it isn't close. The store setup looks amazing, there are plenty of tables to play, trade, open cards, and even a spot to just hang out. They have plenty of products priced at or below other shops and stores. They are willing to bargain for singles and trades. They have trade nights, Friday Night Magic, and more. Supporting your local card shop never felt so good. Every worker is kind and willing to chat about the hobby, answer your questions, give advice, etc. Sports cards, Pokemon, memorabilia, and more. Out of 10, Gibson's gets a 67.875!
Wandered in here today after stumbling across nearby gaming stores in the area. After reading the reviews, I figured it was a worth a trip. What I found matches a majority of all the positive reviews: a charming little shop with plenty of stock, space for playing games, and welcoming employees. The front is full of all gaming books, board games, cards, miniature painting supplies, and accessories for everything. The back has rows of tables to accommodate free play and events. The owner was friendly and happy to help answer any questions I had or point me in the direction of my interests of choice. I am thrilled to have found this local store to support and am excited to return.
