Such a great spot if you are trying to play games with your buds or play pinball with a crazy large selection at an affordable price (about ¢50 per game). I cannot recommend this place enough, looking forward to coming back often. It’s also close to several bus stops, including the Virginia Line (our rapid system).
We went to Comic Kings yesterday for the first time and WOW! What a shop! We were greeted upon entering and the place was buzzing with all kinds of gamers. The staff members were friendly, ready to help and very knowledgeable. Their comic book selection is extensive and there are books for all ages. My youngest even got a Bluey book which made his day. The oldest and I couldn’t help but check out the rare Pokémon cards… and there’s a HUGE box of more common ones to dig through and a table for you to sit and sort too! They have a highly desirable Cheeto Charizard which I have never seen in person and was absolutely thrilled about. (sorry, not sorry, big nerd.) I thought I found a new switch case but it turned out to be a Pikachu overflow case for duplicate trading cards which was even better. After we checked out, our associate, Joey handed my little boys Pokémon posters and a HUGE jumbo Pikachu playing card. They were SO excited about it to the point that everyone we’ve came across the last 24 hours know about it. We will most certainly be back.

This place has been my go-to comic shop for years. They have a vast array of comic books both new and old that you could spend hours browsing, and I have. They even offer subscription services so that you never miss out on a new issue of your favorite comic series. The staff and owner are friendly and knowledgeable. First and foremost, they're fans themselves. They're up to date on the goings-on of the comic universes. They can even give you a heads-up on comics coming out or provide recommendations based on your preferences. All you have to do is ask! And don't forget game nights! Feel free to join them for Friday night Magic tournaments, or sit down and play a game of Pokémon, or even HeroClix. If you play it, chances are they've got a night for it. They also participate in Free Comic Book Day the first Saturday in May every year! From comics, to card games like Pokémon and Magic the Gathering, to tabletop games such as Dungeons & Dragons and Catan, this place has everything you're looking for and more. Whether you're trying to get back into comics or are just starting out, or even just in the mood for a wave of nostalgia, if you're ever in the neighborhood, feel free to stop in and check them out. In my opinion, nobody does what they do better. I'm a customer for life.
In the York, PA area visiting family and noticed this comic shop that was open on a Monday. Decided to stop by and check it out. Wow! This is one of the nicest comic/action figure/misc stores I have ever seen. Layouts were clear and grouped by interest. Displays were carefully designed with the collector in mind. The amount of stock is great, especially back issues. I saw something I've never seen before - ECs from the 50s!! One area that I am still collecting. Most stores only carry the later reprints. Nice, but none that I need at the time. There are separate displays for comics, magazines, action figures, sals items, suggested reading, and a nice area just for kids with a great selection. The manager was helpful,and very knowledgeable, and we had great conversations. There are multiple areas marked for sales prices, including several boxes of low priced comics and magazines. And especially of note: I read recently of the difficulty of finding new packs of Pokemon cards. Some dealers were charging $9 to $13 for the new packs, due to shortages. Comic Store West has them for $6, with a limited amount you can buy. That alone tells me a lot about caring and watching out for the consumer. If you are in the York area looking for comics, this should definitely be your first stop! Highly recommended.
