If you like box games this place is great. They have a backroom filled with games you can try out, displays with game set ups through out the store with new arrivals as well as a giant connect four and chess board set up outside. This is a fun spot
Always plenty of tables to spread out and play your game of choice, a great selection of everything from Digimon, One Piece, and my personal favorite....Magic the Gathering!! Sleeves, mats, mat tubes, a great staff, and always cool new people to meet!!
Nerd merch is a collectible store with lots of funko pops, stickers, Pokémon and magic cards. Very limited board games and while I am all for local game stores, this place is a mess. All the employees seemed to be either absent or maybe playing games? The whole front of the store by the window was the discount area and it was just all over the place piled up in no seeming order. I hope it’s not always this way 😕
We almost missed it walking by, but it was full of young people playing board games. Seems like a great place to hang out if you are a gamer. The staff did right by us in our purchase and seemed like really nice people. Support this small business so they can continue to expand their selection and upgrade the facilities.
Me and my family visited and it was a wonderful experience! Everybody was very friendly and helpful! I learned something new and was able to find a game I love! My favorite part of this place is there is an area where you can sit and play games in store! They have a selection of games you can play or you can bring in your own games! I've been waiting for something new and different to do in Monroe and they brought it! It's definitely worth checking out especially for a family game day!
An interesting mix of collectibles. Came from out of town to peep their back issue comic. Based on descriptions I read on Google and their social media I thought it might be worth the trip. The comic section isn't as big as other shops in the general area and a few comics, based on condition, were a tad overpriced. They did have a sale on their dollar books: four for a dollar. More of a spot for card games and other collectibles like vintage games, Funko Pops, and figures. Staff were welcoming and helpful which left a positive impression on me. So, it's likely a good spot to frequent if you're local.
Took my 6 year old son here to check out some Pokémon items for his 7th birthday coming up. I could not be more pleased with our experience here!! Staff was so friendly and patient with my boy. I will recommend to anyone and will 100% be going back again and again! HUGE selection of all things nerdy and all very reasonably priced! The owner was so kind and even gave my son a brand new pack of Pokémon cards for his birthday for free. Left with one very happy boy.
If you collect retro games, then a lot of the negative reviews you see are inconsequential. It should go without saying, but a business has to make money. There's going to be mark-ups. Otherwise you're on Facebook Marketplace haggling with people hoping the guy with smaller margins doesn't scoop in and take your loot cause he's unemployed and you're stuck at work. With that being said, I've been to Nerd's World 3 times, and each time my experience has gotten progressively better. There are a ton of reasonably priced common/uncommon games, with quite a good bit of rare games on display when compared to the other local shops. I may not be as big a collector as I used to be, but after trying what's on offer in the respective area, I think I found my solid go to for my personal retro needs. Side note, if you're into the Pokemon TCG, the other half of the store seems to be dedicated to it, I just can't speak on it cause I haven't touched a Pokemon card since like 2001.

Very warm and welcoming store, I am supper happy that we have a store like this in our small town, I have been to this store many times, and every single time i come in I spend more and more money. They have a very good selection of all sorts of "Nerd gear" anything from comics of every super hero you could think of, to pokemon advent calendars. Overall a really good store and I really eccouge everyone and anyone to stop by even if it is just a look around.
