Terrible experience. Person behind the counter with dyed hair was extremely rude and dismissive when asked about pricing of various items. If you didn’t feel like telling anyone how much something is, maybe make the prices easier to see from our perspective. Will never be coming back here. Can’t speak for anyone else on the staff, but the guy with the dyed hair can kick rocks barefoot in the scorching summer. You’re rude dude. Cut it out or go work somewhere that you don’t have to talk to anyone. I was definitely about to buy something until the way your responded to me. Hope you can not lose business in the future because of your horrible attitude. If there was an option for me to put ZERO stars, I would. ALL BECAUSE OF YOU 🫵
I went to the Anime TCG store at Potomac Mills today . Spent about 3 hours looking through a box of Pokémon cards. Asked how much each card was in the box. Employee said $.25, $.50 or $1. Ok I’m fine with that . I originally wanted to get 36 cards from the box I looked through. Went to the counter where another employee checked me out. I asked how much the cards were. He said $.25, $.50 or $1.55. So someone doesn’t know the price of there cards . I asked him how much each card was and he looked through them super quick and said each one is $1.55. He then started to scan each card , I asked him how much each one was and he said I can’t tell you if the total is over $2. That makes no sense that you can’t tell me how much each card is and LAZY! He rang me up for 4 cards . Looked at my receipt email and was rang up for 5 cards. Seems like the employee who rang me up is super lazy and doesn’t know the price of cards. Never coming back to this store . Lazy employees and a scam.
One of my favorite spots turned into the biggest let down once it stopped being "The Guild" I remember coming here almost every week, buying singles or whatever I could find. Customer service was great, until recently. Its almost as if every time I go it's just a disappointing experience. The other reviews of spontaneous upcharges are correct, I too one visit asked about the bulk prices, was quoted .25 cents each card. But at the register, the cashier charges me $10 for less than a handful of cards. Crazy work. Ten dollars is nothing but at least be upfront. Other times I have went it just simple feels like the employees do not want to work. Or at least hate their job. Which is fine, sometimes I don't want to work either, but at least have the integrity to treat your customers with kindness and not treat everyone like a nuisance . My recent visit I wanted to try again after a while of not coming by. I stopped going because it just wasn't a nice experience anymore. But I said what the heck, everything went smooth looked through some bulk and found a card I liked. But when I went to the register , the employee told me I couldn't purchase it because someone else had already set it aside. (I was the only one there). No big deal, maybe it was for one of his friends, still pretty unprofessional. Looks like I won't waste my time here anymore
