Game Time

Called over the phone to ask about pricing for cards. On the cards I had, I was told 60-70% in store credit. Not to my surprise, I also put in a list to get done at the same time and my oh my they’re the same price. The original price of the cards? $500 all together. I got offered $170, the exact price for my list. In short, I came in, was lied to about percentage, then they didn’t do their job and tried to change how their prices worked in person. Even the man behind the counter looked shocked when I told him the original value. Why? Because someone was just trying to rush and go play magic. Hey. I get it. But I’m selling you cards then using that money and maybe even more to put back into the store and I was sold 34% in store credit when I was told 60-70. I would’ve even settled for half. That’s pathetic and really shouldn’t be happening to someone who’s been shopping there for years. I hate writing this but I haven’t been treated this poorly in a very long time. I hope they can fix this issue and be more clear on their pricing because the reality is you’re not getting what you’re cards are worth and you won’t get what they will tell you they’re worth. Wish it could’ve went different. Also just noticing that my cards aren’t even in a different order from when they started XD DONT SHOP HERE

If you are a serious collector I do not recommend trading and selling cards here. They do not offer a reasonable value. Do not waste your time. I was told I had a nice collection and asked what I was looking for it. I mentioned I had not comped it in a minute. I was told that makes sense because a lot of it rose in value. He then proceeded to offer me 1k less than another shop. There isn’t a clearer demonstration of lacking integrity.

I wish I had something nice to say about this place, but unfortunately the customer service on two completely separate times by two separate employees have been horrible. If you question the value offered of selling cards, they will not hesitate to demean you and explain how a customer should “understand basic economics” before trying to sell cards. Yikes, right? If they tell you something specific on the phone, do not expect them to honor it when you drive 30 minutes to make a transaction. Apparently 25 minutes before closing is “too close to closing” to help a customer. There are several other great trading card stores in the area and I highly recommend any other one besides this one.
