My old roommate comes back to Bham only a few times a year. We were looking for activities to do while he was back for the summer and decided to try to get through a bunch of games from our board game collections. Problem was, he was staying at his folks' place that was a little cramped for space atm and my partner and I have a dog who isn't too fond of visitors. Well, Aegis was the solution. A fun, chill spot to reignite our passion for the tabletop and board game hobby. We played here virtually every weekend over the summer and several weekdays to boot. It was great. Great staff. Super cozy and friendly vibe. Tons of games and paints and miniatures. Can't recommend highly enough.
Extremely helpful. Listens and gives proper information without issue. Doesn't assume prior knowledge but also speaks "non-computer person". Was willing to discuss options without rushing or pushing products or services. Exactly what you need in a computer support business. This place is a God send. Nice little game store, the staff there are very nice and greet everyone who comes in, and they have a good selection of one piece and magic cards. In a nice area too with Safeway in a short distance. Store is clean and fresh. Worth going to hang out with your friends and for game tournaments. The staff are very knowledgeable on the products they sell as well.
Absolutely wonderful store and owners. Very reasonably priced toys, especially for being local! Had a great time working on a puzzle they had out and talking with the owner who was so kind and helpful. Bought a card game I have been looking for EVERYWHERE. She even had treats for our dog. Great selection of items, can't wait to go back.

This review is long overdue as I have been frequenting the batcave for the better part of two year and have yet to have a negative experience. Both in terms of retail and events batcave games and it's staff have consistently gone above and beyond what I would normally expect to see from a local game store. I first came in looking for a board game called here to slay (highly recommend to the tcg initiate) and soon fell down the rabbit hole that is magic the gathering. The staff was super invested and friendly in helping my build my first homebrew commander deck and have been incredible assets ever since when it comes to recommending and sourcing cards to continuously improve my experience. Friday night magic is always a blast too and is where I've learned several new formats like two headed giant. Gonna cut a long review short. 10/10 selection, 10/10 staff, insanely quick pull times on my never ending card lists, and their d&d collection is pretty great too. Huge thank you to the Batcave team!
