My wife and I were venturing out from our normal state and returning from Tybee Island and wanted to check out some stores to see what Savannah had to offer. Admittedly we were looking for Hot Topic (as per usual) and came across this beautiful store! Vick (the attendant at the time) gave us such a warm welcome and we geeked out over the amazing commodities this place offered! There are anime figurines in rotation, gatcha capsule machines that remind me of Japan, absolute stunning collector's statue displays (that are also on sale too!!) and for really good prices compared to everywhere else I saw, and the overall atmosphere was wholesome! They (at the time) had some of the ORIGINAL Advanced Dungeons & Dragons kits and it was so amazing being able to see such classics here! I will absolutely give a shout-out to Vick, as well, they were AWESOME to chat with and they made the whole experience with my wife and I so wonderful! Would absolutely recommend if you are in the market for games, standees, figurines, or even wall scrolls and posters!

A wonderful place to get together with friends and play some games! From magic the gathering, to chess. They have lots of games for you to try, or bring your own. The owner is awesome and the regulars are pleasant and welcoming! 10/10 recommended

My boyfriend and I enjoy checking out local trading card game stores and we wanted to check out some stores that we haven't been to. We had stopped by Kent for a meal and decided to check out The Game Shelf as they weren't too far. The parking is huge and shared with a lot of businesses and it was Friday evening, so it took a little bit of time to find parking. Once we parked, we entered into the store and were greeted politely by the cashier. There was a Magic the Gathering event going on and it looks like their events calendar always has something going on each day which is great. They even did Final Fantasy TCG which we have yet to see anywhere else and we have been to card shops in several parts of Washington. They had quite a massive selection of wares from desk mats, card holders, sleeves, deck boxes, board games, dice, and much more. We bought a few things and as we were checking out, the cashier mentions to us about their reward system which is a character sheet that you can fill out and there are six slots that they will add up from each amount you spent. Depending on how much you spend will determine your discount which I think is really neat and unique from other card shops. It rewards you no matter how much you spend rather than a point system that could take more than a few purchases to accumulate. I also asked if they were dog friendly and they are, they just ask that your dog is well-behaved, don't make a fuss or bother other patrons, and to clean up after them.

The Game Shoppe is hands down one of the best places for Magic: The Gathering players, whether you’re a veteran or just getting started. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome — they’re warm, inviting, and truly passionate about the game. What really impressed me was how they went above and beyond to help me build a new deck from scratch. They listened to what kind of deck I wanted, gave me great recommendations, and guided me through card choices and strategies. It was clear they weren’t just trying to make a sale — they genuinely wanted to help me build something fun and competitive. The shop itself has a fantastic selection of singles, packs, and accessories, and the whole atmosphere feels friendly and community-focused. Whether you’re shopping, browsing, or looking for a place to play, The Game Shoppe is the perfect local MTG hub. I can’t wait for my next visit!

Owner had very nice and open tables and clean seats, medium selection of magic cards and products were nice, but the owner Perception on listening to a customer selling products to him needs a little work and not take over half of a profit from the seller. For example if your selling at least $70.00 worth of items by the market price by the owner would at least offer maybe $30.00 in cash or less its not worth selling to him. He try's to go for the lowest spending options. Especially when nit picking out of someone's personal collection of cards he wants personally for himself. Also if your are trying to sell bulk cards of higher amount he will not check most of them only just a bit here and there. When asked about events and/or drafts for any game he explained when they are available but if you said something like "sadly I can't make those days" he just tells you something like "then don't even bother coming at any day" That was so rude and unprofessional plus saying that in front of other customers in the building. I will at least listen and not bother coming back or bother mentioning this place. Also maybe not explain how you lost thousands of dollars to customers over the phone when someone stole that much right under your eyes with your "many years of how to run a store" he would say.

This place is my favorite! I'm in there at least once a week buying board games, Warhammer, Pokemon, or any other of my gaming needs. If they don't have it in store, they order it for me. Love the fact that they are a local store too. I will 100% support small business, especially one that ALWAYS takes care of it's customers!

Preordered a very desired product and was very impressed with the pricing. Everything was packaged perfectly and shipped quickly. I don't have a "local" gaming store so The Game Store really will be living up to its name for me. They've also got a great selection and good pricing for mini paint.

This was the halfway point between a friend and I. The shop keepers were so extremely kind and patient with us as we hung out in store showing off our cards to each other. We were probably extremely annoying since we were so hyped up but they were always kind and had reasonable prices on single packs foe us to rip together in store! Plus a great selection of Pokemon singles, even a few I was missing from my modern era binder. Will def come back again when we're this way. Amazing staff, great store, great selection and great location! Thank you for being so patient with my friend and I today!

Such a great and friendly staff, the atmosphere is welcoming!! Owner is a cool guy! Really excited to have a local game shop in the area. Fair prices on board games and TCG stuff.

With the release of pokemon mega evolutions I was diligent in calling the store to confirm dates, pricing, and availability of what they would have for sale. I was told they would be selling booster boxes of this set, but they couldn't reveal any pricing to the public. I really just wanted an idea of what to expect to spend on a box to pull money out of savings for it. I was told they believed everything would be at MSRP on release day. after waiting three hours in line to be the second in the store, we were immediately told they would not be selling boxes and limiting product to 1 of each individual item plus a limit of 12 packs. All fine, I completely understand wanting to have product for more customers. We were told the buy a box promos for the enhanced boosters couldnt be sold yet and that they would be used for events instead. Annoying but I get it. Then when they go to ring up everything I start noticing the prices coming up are crazy prices. 90 for ETB, 45 for booster bundle and packs almost 9 a piece. the most packs you could get is 27 and that runs a little over 250. a box of 36 packs at msrp is 160. almost double the price for less packs. I do not reccomend spending money here because they do not in fact care about the actual players or fans of the games and is essentially a price gouging storefront. The prices are always market on release, and they do everything they can to combat people hogging product while keeping prices fair. They have everything you need for games and it won't break your bank to do it. To summarize I DO NOT recommend shopping here. EDIT: I am not affiliated or work for discordia. Blue sky absolutely DOES NOT price things off of the standard market. Instead of using the industry standard of TCG market to price this store uses sites known to have higher market values because they don’t base market on sold product like TCG. It’s extremely concerning that instead of addressing my complaint you immediately go to bashing another shop. To make sure it’s VERY CLEAR, I don’t recommend anyone shopping here. Plenty of your own shops reviews mention how horrible the pricing is at this place. Instead of fixing your actual problem you prioritize profit over players. It’s quite refreshing to see that the response was nothing but blaming another store, so at-least people can see more how scummy this place is.

Game Zone has been around since I was a little kid, and every time I go I feel like I’m walking back into my childhood briefly. This is the only local card shop I can walk into and truly feel like they’re in it for the love of the game. My girlfriend recently purchased a used PS5 from there for an incredible price and it’s been running perfectly so far months later. They have a wide variety of consoles available, current and vintage. I frequently go to buy pokemon packs as I’ve found their prices are much better than other LCS, and the people behind the desk are always down to talk pokemon, games, etc. I cannot recommend them enough
